Important: How NL Recertification Scheduling Works

National Lifeguard Recertification exams require a minimum group size of 8 participants to run. For this reason, listed dates are proposed exam dates.

Your registration helps form the required group. Once you register you will be added to an email thread with other registrants from your same batch and you will be updated regularly till we reach enough candidates to run the course.

If a proposed date does not reach the required minimum, we may offer you the closest available confirmed or forming session based on your availability.

Identity verification process (effective Jan 1, 2026)

Lifesaving Society identity verification applies to certain vocational certifications. To keep a consistent registration process, we verify identity for all registrations. You will be asked to present acceptable government-issued ID (original, photocopy, or digital) showing your legal name and date of birth. We verify it privately and do not keep copies.

Reschedule / cancellation fee: I understand that any reschedule or cancellation will incur a $15 pool booking rescheduling/cancellation fee.

Late arrival policy: I understand that if I arrive late, I may be failed, removed, or required to transfer to another session, regardless of traffic, delays, or any other reason.

Course cancellation / reschedule policy: I understand that YRALT reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or postpone a course due to low enrolment, instructor availability, or operational requirements.

Same-day booking policy: I understand that if I register on the same day of the course, I must call or email or text and confirm the course status before leaving home. YRALT is not responsible if I arrive without confirmation and the session is not running.

I understand that I can be removed, withdrawn, or not allowed to participate in the course if I do not have the required course materials or prerequisites.
